LCU SCHOLARSHIPS
High School Scholarships Program
At LCU, we believe in investing in the future of our community. Our high school scholarship program aims to recognize and support outstanding students in their pursuit of higher education. Three scholarships are awarded annually based on academic achievement, community involvement, awards, and extracurricular activities.
LCU Scholarship
– Criteria: Awarded to a student attending a four-year University or College program towards a degree.
– Amount: $4,000.00
– Selection Criteria: Based on grades, community involvement, awards, and extracurricular activities.
Victor J. Delhommeau Scholarship
– Criteria: Awarded to a student attending a post-secondary school, showing significant concern for the community.
– Amount: $2,000.00
– Selection Criteria: Community involvement, no previous LCU scholarship (unless no other applicants).
Trades and Technical School Scholarship
– Criteria: Awarded to an applicant attending a technical and/or trades school.
– Amount: $2,000.00
– Selection Criteria: Academic performance, commitment to a trades or technical education.
Award Announcement and Procedure:
– Winners will be announced at the Graduation exercises.
– Visit the LCU branch to collect the scholarship cheque, pose for a picture, and submit their graduation photo.
Eligibility Criteria:
The applicant winner must:
– Be a current graduate of Luseland School.
– Attend any accredited technical or trade school, college, or university.
– Program duration must be at least one year. In the case of a trade or technical school, one course year.
Forfeiture of Scholarship:
The individual scholarship winner(s) will forfeit the scholarship if they:
– Fail to gain complete Grade 12 standing or continue their education.
– Fail to complete the first term of their indicated program within one (1) year of the year of graduation (University courses only).
– Fail to start their trades or college course within 18 months.

Every effort is made to ensure that different students win each scholarship.
